Do you feel that…?
- …you have no idea what to do to become a better guitarist?
- ...you would like to play pop, jazz, swing, Latin, etc. but you don`t know where to start and how to continue?
- ...you have reached a certain level, you have learned some scales or chords from books or from YouTube but you have no idea how to put them all together?
- … you are overwhelmed with confusing, fragmented, incoherent and not always correct information about how to become a better guitarist?
- … you don’t know what to do to sound like your guitar idol?
- …you can´t tell which is the right way to your dream of becoming a better guitarist and which is a dead end?
- ...you have very little time to practice and you would like to use it effectively?
- ...you prefer individual approach and tailor-made lessons?
All this leads to uncertainty and frustration…
I know these feelings very well – I have been there, too. Fortunately, thanks to excellent teachers and years of experience, I have learned how to isolate the basic building blocks of guitar playing, which can be applied to pop, jazz, swing, Latin and other genres.
Now I would like to share all that with you.
What you will learn
- How to improve your technique
- Where the notes on the fretboard are in a simple way (fretboard orientation)
- How to play different kinds of rhythm accompaniment and the chords that you need to do that
- How to solo and improvise (single note, double stops, chord solos)
- How to play with a pick or fingerstyle
- How to listen better and train your ear
- How to connect the dots, understand the how music works thanks to music theory and harmony. How music theory can improve your playing.
- How to apply all the above depending on the situation, context, genre etc. (pop, jazz, swing, Latin, Balkan music...)
- Standard repertoir in the given genre
- Skills, repertoire and confidence you need to be able to take part in a jam session, play in a band, or just play for your friends and family at a party.
- How to pracice effectively and creatively and manage your time

BIO
I am a guitarist from Brno, Czech Republic, playing jazz, swing, Latin and Balkan music.
I have been playing guitar since I was 13. I took formal classical guitar lessons and learned folk and country music songs during camping trips with my friends. When I was at university, I took jazz guitar lessons with Vilém Spilka and I also took part in international jazz workshops in Prague, where I studied with Christian Rover and David Dorůžka. I got my first Latin music lessons – both on guitar and percussion - during my 6-month stay in Cali, Colombia and then, back in the Czech Republic, at La Dílna music workshops organized by singer and musician Marta Topferova. Apart from being a guitarist and percussionist, I am also a singer (jazz, swing, doo wop, Balkan and Latin music). I am an active member of several bands in my home town: Sabor Latino (duo and combo, Cuban and Brazilian music), Musica Balkanika (Balkan music) and Kolenem (acapella doo wop). Between 2013-2015 I was also a member of a swing quintet Django Jet.
